As part of its 'New Generation, Safe Driving, Mindful of the Compulsory Motor Vehicle Insurance Act 2026' project, aimed at educating youths about compulsory motor vehicle insurance and fostering road safety awareness, Thailand's regulator, the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC), collaborated with Chachoengsao Technical College, in Chachoengsao Province, to reach out to students at an event.
In addition to transferring knowledge about insurance and mandatory vehicle insurance, youth were encouraged to identify ‘risk points’ along their daily travel routes.
According to a statement by the OIC, this may develop their skills in observing and assessing risks around them, from high-risk areas or routes, to driving behaviours to avoid and ways to protect themselves from accidents.
“This reflects the idea that the best protection does not begin after an accident occurs, but starts with being aware of risks and adopting safe driving habits,” said the statement.
